If you study at our Hamilton campus, you will be exposed to high-end vocational training and quality education programs. Three kilometres east of the city centre, the campus is situated in a picturesque bush setting at the main entrance to town, offering copious parking and a public bus service directly to the door.
The teaching and administration staff are available to provide important guidance, ensuring everyone is supported in deciding on the training most appropriate to them, and aid in the application process.
The campus focuses on addressing industry needs of the health, agriculture, horticulture, and early childhood sectors, plus secondary school programs for young adults seeking an alternative to mainstream education. We also host secondary school students completing vocational training as a part of their VCE or VCE VM.
Learning is achieved through real-life simulations and hands-on practical activities, wherever possible, ensuring you are work-ready upon completion of your course.
The Nursing/Aged Care training facilities provide a simulated clinical hospital ward, shower facilities, lifting equipment, procedure and medication rooms, and a science lab for phlebotomy and catheter skill development.
The Early Childhood Education and Care facility has been recently refurbished and has created a classroom that can easily adapt to an early childhood play experience, a kitchenette for the preparation of appropriate meals, and a secure outdoor space for a nature-based learning experience for children.
With $3.1m in funding announced to boost student facilities at the Hamilton Campus, planning is underway to build a multi-purpose facility to accommodate High Risk Training, such as Forklift operations, and expand the course offerings of the campus. The funding will also improve student and staff amenities, toilets, and general infrastructure.
The newly opened Country Universities Centre - Southern Grampians (CUCSG) is a wonderful addition to our campus. CUCSG is a dedicated study hub – a place to study, collaborate, meet, and connect with other post-secondary school students in our region. Comfortable, accessible, and secure study spaces are available between 5 am and midnight, 7 days per week. High-speed internet, computer, network, and printing access are available, and membership is FREE. CUCSG welcomes SWTAFE students to its Centre.
