Introduction

In this unit you'll be working with Phil in FPT Foods’ pet food division, Bluey.

Follow Phil as he goes through the steps to learn how to use the process control interface.

(Note that due to the varying nature of PCIs in different workplaces, this unit looks at a generic model.)

Read the orientation guide
If you have not already done so, read the This will show you how to use key features of the Toolbox.

Number Two

Create your learning plan
If you have not already done so, This will show you which jobs you need to do and which ones you can skip.

Read about the fundamentals of operating a process control interface
If you are new to operating a process control interface, or would just like a refresher, take a look at the

Work through the job list
Using your learning plan as a guide, complete the jobs listed below.To help you keep track of your progress you might like to tick off each job on your learning plan as you complete it.

Job 1: Check that the interface and components are safe and ready

Job 2: Understand and use the process control interface

Job 3: Use interface system to operate and maintain a process within required parameters

Job 4: Analyse data to predict and control performance

When you have completed all of these jobs, contact your trainer to discuss your assessment.
