Introduction

This week, as part of her rotation program, Salena is working in FPT's dairy section, Childers Cove Dairy Products, which recently had new machinery installed. During the week, Salena will be involved in planning and conducting an audit in the milk drying area, then reporting and following up on the audit outcomes.

Note that Salena can be involved in the audit process because she is new to this area. Staff are never allowed to audit their own work areas.

Follow the steps below to help Salena participate in the audit process.

Number One

Read the orientation guide
If you have not already done so, read the This will show you how to use key features of the Toolbox.

Number Two

Create your learning plan
If you have not already done so, This will show you which jobs you need to do and which ones you can skip.

Read about the fundamentals of auditing
If you are new to participating in an audit process, or would just like a refresher, take a look at the

Number Four

Work through the job list
Using your learning plan as a guide, complete the jobs listed below. To help you keep track of your progress you might like to tick off each job on your learning plan as you complete it.

Job list

Job 1: Following hygiene procedures

Job 2: Participate in planning an audit

Job 3: Participate in conducting an audit

Job 4: Report and follow up on audit outcomes

When you have completed all of these jobs, contact your trainer to discuss your assessment.

You can then return to the home page and select another unit to start work on.
