Managing failed control measures

The drainage overflow that Phil has identified is a serious problem. Dorothy will speak with management about some possible corrective actions so the company can minimise and deal with the excess waste. In the meantime, Phil discusses the problem with one of his workmates.

How should the drainage issue be dealt with?

Instructions

Listen to Phil discussing the drainage problem with one of his workmates. Check the environmental hierarchy of controls in the Fundamentals and then select the most appropriate way of dealing with the waste issue.

Talk to the Environment Manager at your workplace about any similar problems that have happened there and how they were dealt with. Make some notes about the situation, how it was dealt with, and whether you think it was dealt with in the best way.

Keep a copy of your notes. You may need this information for your assessment.
