Industry associations

Industry associations can often provide specific industry information such as market trends, forecasts, contractual issues, wage levels and legislation that affects your industry.

Associations are usually made up of a body of elected members with expertise in the industry. This body represents members, providing views to government and the media about industry affairs.

Many offer membership of their association to those who conduct commerce within their industry. Some examples of industry associations include the following.

  • Australian Retailers Association
  • Housing Industry Association
  • Master Builders Association
  • Retail Confectionery and Mixed Business
