This module is designed to help learners acquire the skills to enable them to provide technical support to the rapidly growing Internet industry.

What will I be able to do after completing this module?
Create Web pages.
Connect and configure a single computer to the Internet.
Connect a Local Area Network to the Internet.
Choose between the various telecommunications options to link to the Internet.
Understand and configure the IP protocol.
Understand how to use Internet Services including DNS, SMTP, POP, and NNTP.
It is expected that any person undertaking this module can:
Use the Internet to browse Web pages, use search engines, send and receive e-mail and subscribe to news groups.
Connect to and use a Local Area Network.
Understand and use advanced data communications concepts.
These skills can be attained by completing modules VBB223, NE115 AND VBB246 respectively or through appropriate recognition of prior learning.
