Student Email Information

To access your student email account use a web browser such as Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Click on the appropriate link below for more details.

On Campus
Off Campus
Trainees

On Campus access

If you are on campus you will be able to log on to the network on a PC in the Library (SLC) or in a Computer Room.

On the Student Lounge page click on the hyperlink:

• Email access via the SWTAFE network (eg via the SLC)

Your email “Outlook Web Access” MailBox will be displayed in the web browser.


 

Off Campus access

If you have your own ISP you can access your student email from outside SWTAFE e.g. from home. From Outside, depending on the browser version that you are running, you will be asked for your login information when you click on the hyperlink:

• Email access from outside the SWTAFE network (eg from home)

When a “Connecting to …” box comes up you will be asked either for

Your Username and password

Example - If your Username is ABC12345678, enter your Username as

swtafe\abc12345678
Enter your network password

OR

Your Username, Password and Domain

Example - If your Username is ABC12345678, enter your Username as

abc12345678
Enter your network password
Enter Domain as swtafe

Click OK

Your email “Outlook Web Access” MailBox will be displayed in the web browser.

 

Trainees Outlook Web Access

Note – Trainees do not automatically have access to a SWTAFE student email account. If you require a SWTAFE email account your Teacher will request one for you and provide you with instructions.
