WARRNAMBOOL’S Royal Hotel will tonight take part in the worldwide celebrations of Hank Williams’ birthday with a tribute night. The annual local event will feature a swag of musicians including Cowboys Adrift (featuring members of The Monaros), Tommy Grigg, The Rusty Buckets, Louie and the Rustlers, Lost in Suburbia, Johnny Lovett, Prof and Johnny, Garry McColl and Kate Gane. The event kicks off at 8pm. And for those who are interested, Williams would have been 81 had he not drunk himself to death in the back of his Cadillac in 1953.
