Overall Aim
Bookbinding is an ancient and intriguing art form. It is also a great to skill have if you are passionate about paper and stationery, or want to put together a collection of stories, poetry, a family history or other home-based project. This short course will help you develop the skills to bind a book of your choice.

Specific Objectives
Upon satisfactory completion of this course, participants will have the knowledge to create a bound book to suit individual requirements.

Course Content
Day one, students will begin a step by step construction of a bound book.
Day two continues step by step construction with sufficient time for one on one instruction with tutor and an opportunity to begin a second bound book.
Students will require some basic equipment – steel ruler, Stanley knife etc.
A list will be provided on enrolment and • an opportunity to purchase a bone folder, an important tool in the book binding process (approximately $15), prior to the workshop. Glue and book-cover material is included in the material fee for the workshop.

This course is run periodically throughout the year at various campuses. Please register your interest by using the 'Register Now' button at the top of this brochure.

Course Costs
$117.00
Full payment is required at the time of enrolment, which should be at least one week prior to course commencement.
If course is cancelled due to insufficient enrolments a full refund will be made.
If a participant cancels, notice of one week must be given for a full refund to be made.
