Course Description
This course provides training in computing, office tasks, record keeping, customer service, document production and financial skills. It aims to provide graduates with the skills required to work as an administrative assistant, clerk, receptionist or administrative officer.

Career Opportunities
Upon completion of this course graduates may seek employment in a range of business/administrative roles. Possible job title roles relevant to this qualification include Customer Service Advisor, Data Entry Operator, General Clerk, Payroll Officer, Typist and Word Processing Operator.

Credits/Exemptions
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that assesses the individual’s non-accredited training and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required learning or competency outcomes. RPL is sometimes referred to as Recognition of Current Competence (RCC).
You can undertake a recognition assessment for individual units in most courses offered through South West TAFE. The process requires you to be able to provide evidence of competence.
