Course Description
This course incorporates the use of current office technology and efficient office procedures. The course trains personnel to work effectively in an office environment with associates and customers, carrying out complex business functions. Graduates may seek employment as an office assistant, clerk or similar administrative position requiring middle level office skills.

Credits/Exemptions
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that assesses the individual’s non-accredited training and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required learning or competency outcomes. RPL is sometimes referred to as Recognition of Current Competence (RCC). You can undertake a recognition assessment for individual units in most courses offered through South West TAFE. The process requires you to be able to provide evidence of competence.
