Current capital projects
This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The Australian Government announced funding for South West Institute of TAFE as part of a $4.7 billion nation-building infrastructure package to support the Australian economy.
Through the Better TAFE Facilities (BTF) element of the funding, SW TAFE will be granted $2.4 million in funding for the following projects;
- Upgrade of Wireless Network
- Implementation of EWIS fire detection
- Development of a Fleet Management System.
Through the Training Infrastructure Investment for Tomorrow (TIIFT) element, SW TAFE will be granted $5.2 million in funding for the development of the Portland Industry Training Centre, a 800m2 industry standard engineering and automotive training facility.
