Our mission is to contribute to our region by providing flexible education and training opportunities that support students, employers and industry. In so doing we support the economic, cultural and social development of our region.

We have been on an exciting journey in recent years. In 2011 we were awarded the title of Victorian Large Training Provider of the Year, and in 2012 we significantly restructured our organisation to finalise our moves towards being the region’s pre-eminent education and training provider.

Throughout our journey we have never forgotten that our core business is teaching and learning. We work in partnership with all levels of government, higher education institutions, regional secondary colleges, industries, employers, other service providers and our local communities to create a highly trained workforce and a pool of work-ready graduates capable of achieving career success. Our facilities are situated across our region and are second to none.

As a learning organisation we also understand that we must practice what we preach, and we therefore invest in our staff through ongoing professional development and support.

We focus on customer service and student support. South West TAFE’s continued viability centres around a single point of difference from our competitors: we remain committed to delivering quality education and services. We understand that this can only be achieved by delivering a student experience that is both valued and valuable.
