Government and Teacher Training

The School Services Officer (SSO) program provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills required to support employment as an SSO in a school environment.

The SSO Program offers you the opportunity to undertake study in your own time and location. If you are currently employed in the education sector as an SSO, this training program offers you a wonderful opportunity to recognise existing skills, as well as providing solid induction training. If your aim is to work in the education area, then the SSO Program is an ideal starting point to your career path.

For those interested in employment as a Teachers Aide - our Off Campus area offers a Certificate in Teacher Aide Work which provides the skills and knowledge to effectively support the physical, social, emotional, psychological, language, cognitive and creative development of pre-school and school age children, and to provide additional assistance to students who have special needs.

Our Training and Assessment program is for people who are working in or wish to work in training and assessment in the workplace or the vocational and training sector. This is the base training qualification for trainers and assessors who deliver and assess nationally accredited courses. Graduates may pursue careers in industry and/or the VET sector as a workplace trainer and assessor.

For those interested in teaching in the vocational education and training sector then the Vocational Education and Training Practice Diploma will assist you in the design and/or coordination of learning and assessment programs and the facilitation of learning in more complex environments.
