Our trainers have strong community networks to ensure students gain hands-on experience in a range of work environments. An example is our partnership with Warrnambool City Council’s Children’s Services Centre and the internationally acclaimed Fun4Kids Festival.

A number of our programs offer advanced standing credits at university, giving you the opportunity to work in the industry while completing higher studies.

Ignition Gym is South West TAFE’s own fully functioning gymnasium and personal fitness centre.

Offering an opportunity for the practical application of theory learned in the classroom, the centre is used as a training gym for students studying our sport and fitness courses.

Students have their own clients and as a practicing fitness instructor, carry out consultations, health screenings, fitness assessments, monitor progression, reassessments and appraisals.
