Support for international students

Orientation
The orientation program for international students includes:

●	enrolment and an introduction to your course and study timetable
●	passwords for computer and Internet access
●	tours of the campus and city of Warrnambool
●	a trip to the bank to open an account and deposit any money
●	visits to real estate agents to look for rental accommodation
●	help with organising mobile phone connection
●	finalising Overseas Student Health Cover
●	assistance with applying for a tax file number
●	information and contact details of key emergency services, such as police, hospitals, and medical services

Accommodation
South West TAFE does not have any student accommodation available on campus, however is happy to assist with accommodation options, including renting a house, flat, apartment or boarding with an Australian family.  Renting costs start at approximately A$140 per week plus expenses such as electricity and gas.  Boarding costs can vary between A$60 to A$180 per week depending on the services provided by the family.

Computers
Computer classrooms are modern with the latest computer software installed. All computers are connected to the Internet and fitted with USB and sound ports for easy access.

OnCourse
OnCourse is an online learning system.  OnCourse provides study information and resources. It enables students to view current enrolment status, print results, download resources, obtain teacher’s details and change contact address.
