ESOS Information

South West Institute of TAFE commits to the Australian Federal government, via the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) regulations which govern the provision of educational services to students travelling from other countries to study in Australia.  These regulations are known as the ESOS Framework and include the Education Services for Overseas (ESOS) Act 2000 and The National Code 2007.

The Australian Government and South West Institute of TAFE aim to ensure overseas students in Australia have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding place to study. Australia’s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for overseas students. These laws are known as the ESOS framework. A range of government departments act as regulators of this framework and South West Institute of TAFE will maintain compliance in relation to these regulations. This will be achieved by the adherence to a full range of procedures, guidelines and forms outlined below.
