Access & Equity (Special Entry - SEAS)

South West Institute of TAFE values the diversity of its client group and seeks to provide access and equity for all people undertaking vocational education and training.

Access and Equity Schemes are targeted at applicants who have been unable to reach their full educational potential or who may have access to the courses of their choice restricted because of their life circumstances. The Institute’s selection processes provide for special consideration to be given to potential students who believe they have a case to make.  Individual consideration will be given to a student making a request in writing to the Institute Registrar.

Individuals are advised to view the Institute’s Access & Equity Policy and Student Selection into Accredited Courses Policy

The Access and Equity Schemes available for special consideration under VTAC entry conditions at South West TAFE include:

Category 1:   Mature Age Entry
Prospective students who are 18 years of age and over, may be eligible to enter courses if they have relevant work experience and/or can demonstrate their potential to successfully complete the course they have applied for.
