Hiring Facilities

South West Institute of TAFE offers hundreds of nationally accredited programs, from short courses to traineeships and apprenticeships in a number of fields including health and community studies, business and IT, maritime, building, along with automotive and engineering.

Because of the range and number of courses we offer, facilities available for external hire are extensive, whether it be a one on one video conference or a meeting for up to 70 people we can cater to your requirements.

Facilities
The Portland campus of South West Institute of TAFE has a range of rooms and facilities suitable for all types of conferences and meetings.  State of the art facilities include:

  • Video Conferencing facilities for local, interstate or international communication
  • Conference facility capable of seating up to 70 people
  • Computer Labs with the latest hardware and software
  • Library and Student Learning Centre with print and electronic resources
  • Specialist automotive, building, engineering and maritime workshops
  • General classrooms
  • General purpose teaching and meeting areas
  • Student lounge with tea and coffee facilities

Meeting your Requirements
You may wish to consider adding any of the following items to your room booking:

  • Tea and Coffee will be arranged at request and catering is available from off site caterers.
  • Equipment hire:

    • VCR /DVD players
    • video conferencing equipment
